  We're Back!
Opening Friday,
March 19, 2010
We will be opening for the year on Friday, March 19th. After our much needed break we are rested and raring to go. We enjoyed seeing some of you at the Ft. Worth Stock Show and as always it was fun meeting new faces there. We have changed our farm hours for this year to Friday-Sunday 9-5 and the café will be Friday-Sunday 11-3.
We are interested in some feedback on a new idea we are toying with. We are considering a monthly dinner. It would be on a Saturday evening and be a more gourmet type of dinner with a special theme. Of course I would have to include a lavender dish with it!
A few ideas that I have considered are an all lavender dinner, a farm to table dinner where you pick the vegetables from the field that you would like to eat and we prepare them, a fish fry, or an outdoor dinner next to the lavender field, Please share your thought on this new idea. We always love to hear from you. We’re making lots of new plans for the year , new cooking classes, gardening and landscape classes and more. Stay tuned for upcoming events that I will include in each newsletter.
Saturday, March 20th 10:30-1:00 will be our next “Cooking With Lavender” class. If you haven’t made it to one of our cooking classes before, well what are you waiting for? Come join us and learn how to add the unique taste of lavender to your meals. Everyone always has a good time and we will share a delicious lunch that you help prepare. The cost is $25.00 per person and reservations and prepayment must be made by March 18th (send me an email and I will call you). Everyone will take home a booklet that includes the recipes for the dishes that we prepare.

Lavender Festival
May 29-31
9 AM - 5 PM
We are busy gearing up for the lavender festival to be held Memorial Day Weekend, May 29-31. This starts the beginning of lavender cutting season.
There will be even more vendors than last year and more entertainment to boot. Everyone always has a great time and goes home with fresh lavender. I can hardly wait for the lavender to bloom!
